The Sunshine Coast Fever Girls Sevens Program strives to provide the opportunity for Sunshine Coast girls to experience Rugby Sevens at the highest level on an international stage. In the process, players learn about touring, other cultures, team spirit, as well as discipline, pride and what it means to be an ambassador for the Sunshine Coast.
The initial squad for our 2020 tour comprises of 14 girls between the age of 15-18 and features representation from Nambour, Maroochydore, Noosa and Gympie. A number of squad participate in SCSSRU Girls Tens, SCRU Girls Sevens and the Sunshine Coast Stingrays Youth Girls Sevens with this program allowing them to extend on the opportunities offered in the above.
At the conclusion of our 2020 tour, work will commence on planning our 2022 overseas tour as well as investigating other chances for Sunshine Coast girls to experience the multitude of opportunities offered through Sevens Rugby.
